The foundation of our herd came to us through several purchases from Cottonwood Cattle Company of Clayton, NM. Ross and Shelley Carter have worked very hard at developing the type and kind of Corriente cattle we most desired as a basis for us to build. The Carter’s bloodlines originally came from Joe Floyd and other foundation breeders in the Northeastern New Mexico area.
We are extremely proud that one of our heifers was crowned the 2005 All-Around Performance Heifer at the Texas Corriente Cattle Show in Abilene, TX. We will continue to show our herd on a limited basis in the coming years.
We are pleased to be members and supporters of the National Corriente Cattle Association, Central States Corriente Assoc., as well as the Texas Corriente Cattle Assoc.
